What people say about my coaching?

Stuart’s ability to build positive relationships with our young people has been fantastic. Herts Young Homeless works with young people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, and Stuart demonstrates a deep understanding of the challenges they have faced. His work has empowered our service users, giving them the confidence to use their voice for positive change for themselves and the wider community.

Leonie Maddin - Herts Young Homeless

Stuart is an exceptional coach. Having trained as a coach myself and worked with other coaches in the past I can honestly say that Stuart has been stand out in his approach. Stuart really held the space for us to work and always asked insightful, challenging questions that really pushed me to think beyond my own limiting perceptions of which there were many!

Stuart enabled me to take simple, decisive actions that gave me a sense of things shifting and moving in the right direction. He is a consummate professional and an all round lovely person who listens and cares deeply about what he does.

Alex - Filmmaker

Stuart has been coaching me for the last couple of years. Now two years on, with his support and coaching the business has grown in capacity, tripled our turnover, and all this has happened whilst I attained an Executive MBA and we have come out of Covid. His approach, which often leads me to challenging my own assumptions, is to really listen to what is being said and enable absolute clarity over decisions and goals when minutes earlier I couldn't have articulated them at all, is transformative.  Myself, my business, and my team have really benefited from Stuart's expertise and would highly recommend him as a coach

Emrys - CEO of a digital consultancy

I both thoroughly enjoyed, and benefited from my coaching sessions with Stuart, and warmly recommend him to others. He is an excellent, attentive, intelligent, and deeply respectful listener. With these skills to the fore, Stuart delivered our sessions expertly, to help me come to a greater understanding of issues that affect me professionally, and to develop ways to navigate them

Richard Sved, Director of 3rd Sector Mission Control

Really helpful…We all work independently so having the chance to come together and think together was really useful. We liked how Stuart created a safe space as he guided and supported us. Stuart was very clear throughout the sessions, repeating aims and expectations as he went. We got a lot from it...

Team Coaching

‘Time for a Career Reset?’, was a dynamic, 2-hour workshop which packed in 4 energising mind and heart-opening activities designed to set the wheels in motion for potential career change. Under Stuart’s guidance we were offered space to consider what individual change might look like and to identify steps to achieving it, whether paid or voluntary; even whether it was work that we wished to change because in life we take on so many other roles.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching

What is coaching?

There are many approaches to coaching. Four years ago I trained in Relational Dynamics, an approach to work and life which draws on theories and tools from a wide range of sources including person-centred coaching, psychology, emotional intelligence, NLP and contemporary research into leadership and modern day communications.

  • I coach on a 1:2:1 basis, in person or over Zoom.

  • I also work with groups and teams.

  • I also facilitate Action Learning sets.

Why coaching?

Coaching is about being asked incisive questions that could unlock future goals and ambitions. It could also support you to find solutions. The model used is referred to as GROW:

  • Goal - what do you want?

  • Reality - what is happening now?

  • Options - What could you do?

  • Will - What will you do?

My experience is that you have all the answers within you, its my job to support you to find them. Sessions are always in confidence and you will never be judged.

The practicalities

To start with I'd normally advise a free 20 minute call to ascertain what you need from coaching and whether you feel I'm the right coach for you.
